La Bale des Anges
While you entering La Bale des Anges, you can feel the strong flavor of France. As another great Houhai bar, the furniture and decor in La Bale des Anges are modern and stylish, featuring landscape painting, mostly of the French countryside. There, the music is finely tuned by the brothers who run the place, but generally features jazz and French music on Wednesdays. The menu of La Bale des Anges is French too. Some wine in this bar is very expensive, and one I know is up to 4000. Besides, there are regular theme nights and Wi-Fi is available.
No Name Bar
As the first bar opened in Houhai, No Name Bar offers class and a mellow atmosphere though this venue looks a bit tacky. This bar decorated with beautiful Yunnanese curios, basket chairs and glass-topped tables, world music completes the atmosphere. The bar is easy to find, the one-storey building draped with leaves is it. And it just south west of the Yinding Bridge between Houhai and Qianhai lakes.
